Educational Background

Julie Nemecek’s diverse education began with inner city grade school and high school in Chicago. She has gone on to earn a B.A. degree with a major in English and minor concentrations in psychology and philosophy. She furthered her education by earning a Master of Divinity degree with an emphasis in Biblical studies and concentrations in administration and psychology. Her earned Ph.D. is in adult education. Her dissertation was on the application of adult learning theory to the development of classes and programs for adult learners.

Work Experience

Dr. Nemecek has had significant cross-cultural and diversity experiences in the three churches she has led. Her teaching experience includes teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. She has taught courses in human resources, organizational development, group and organizational behavior, psychology, racial and cultural minorities, world religions, and group and public communication.
